Masterstudent: Process engineering and Computer Science

Wir suchen einen Masterstudenten, der uns bei der Softwareentwicklung unterstützt. Wir sind ein frisch gegründetes Startup und entwickeln die Software Dyssol für die Simulation von Feststoffprozessen (Zerkleinerungsprozesse, Sprühtrocknung oder Tablettierung). Durch die Entwicklung von digitalen Prozesszwillingen können Optimierung und Prozessplanung umgesetzt werden, ohne Produktionsstillstände zu riskieren.

Du studierst Informatik, Informatikingenieurswesen, Data Science, Verfahrenstechnik oder vergleichbares und bist motiviert, Simulationstools für die Verfahrenstechnik zu entwickeln?
(Programmierkenntnisse wie C++, Python, Matlab oder R sind von Vorteil)

Arbeite mit in unserem jungen, motivierten Team und erarbeitet deine Masterthesis zum Thema „Entwicklung eines Tools für die statistische Analyse in der Prozesssimulation„.

As we keep growing, we are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to continuously drive one of our three development teams forward.

What you will be responsible for

• Working hands-on: coding by best practice
• Leading your team of engineers to efficiently ship features to our platform at a high pace
• Ensuring a high code quality
• Being the expert for our main technologies and acting as ‘go-to-person’ within the team
• Mentoring your team members, by coaching and actively sharing your knowledge with them
• Engaging in regular, individual feedback sessions with your team members
• Strategically planning product enhancements in cooperation with other departments
• Supporting in the hiring process

What you need

• Several years of experience in building web applications, ideally with Ruby on Rails or Elixir
• First experience in leading small teams desirable
• High level and up-to-date expertise in current web technologies
• Strongly goal-oriented, pragmatic way of working and a good business sense
• Demanding and motivating spirit, sense of urgency
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, strength in mentoring
• Excellent language skills in English (German is a plus)

• Full-stack development of our platform (API, Command Line Tools, IDE plugins etc.) with a strong focus on Ruby, but also using other technologies such as Go and Elasticsearch
• Using best practices in your code and mentoring team members
• Implementing creative approaches and actively sharing these ideas with the team
• Working pragmatically and keeping a high level of productivity
• Following and continuously improving our agile processes with weekly sprints and daily deployment
• Taking part in pair programming and code-reviews to optimize our code quality

What you need

• Experience in building and maintaining web applications in Ruby on Rails
• Ability to write clear, concise, and performant code with unit and integration tests
• Knowledge in git and GitHub
• Self-organization skills and a high level of motivation to shape our team and product
• Strong collaboration skills to effectively solve problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a plus)
